- Picks are made for any/all of the major tournaments:
- The Players Championship (the unofficial "fifth major")
- The Masters
- The PGA Championship
- The U.S. Open Championship
- The (British) Open Championship
- For each major tournament you include in your pool, members select a number of golfers to make up their Player Roster for that tournament.
- The number of golfers you pick depends on how you set up your picksheet:
- In a "Tiers" picksheet, you divide the field of golfers up into any number of tiers, with a specific number of golfers to pick within each tier.
- In a "Salary Cap" picksheet, you specify a "budget" that your participants can spend on any number of golfers as long as they stay under the salary cap. You can "buy" five or six highly ranked golfers, or spread your budget out over a bigger roster that includes some long shots. It's all down to strategy.
- The goal is to be the member whose roster performs the best, cumulatively, as a team using either strokes, winnings, or leaderboard finish (configurable).
- If you base your standings on strokes, a golfer who misses a cut (or otherwise does not finish a round) gets a default score set by you, the pool manager.
- Performance is tracked for each Major individually, but also in aggregate for all the Major Championships.
- Advanced Options:
- Drop the results of your worst performing golfer(s)
- Pick a golfer only once (can't pick them again for a future Major)
- Autopicks, for when someone misses the pick deadline
