Fox registered a three-under 71 to finish tied in the 67th spot in the Rocket Mortgage Classic.
Fox gained six spots in the final round. The 37-year-old registered five birdies on Sunday, which was the sixth-best. He gained 0.87 strokes off-the-tee as well which was ranked 12th. It was the third time this season that Fox finished outside the top 60 players in a competition. He will not participate in the upcoming John Deere Classic.
Fox fired a 12-over 71 to finish in a tie for the 56th spot in the U.S. Open.
Fox registered three birdies in the final round which was tied at 18th. It was the second round in the competition, where the 37-year-old registered three birdies. It is the second this season where Fox finished outside the top 50 in any competition. He lost a spot in the FedEx Cup rankings as well. Fox will not feature in the upcoming Travelers Championship.
Fox carded an even-par 70 in the final round of the RBC Canadian Open to finish in a share of seventh place.
Fox got off to a strong start with rounds of 66-64 to share the 36-hole lead, but he faded over the weekend with 10 bogeys across the final two rounds to fall out of contention. Statistically, he stood out with his driving, ranking fifth in driving distance and ninth in SG: Off-the-tee for the week. After a slow start to the year, Fox has heated up recently with three top-10s over his last six starts.
