Fox (illness) is listed in the field for this week's Texas Children's Houston Open.
Fox was forced to withdraw prior to THE PLAYERS Championship due to the surgical removal of kidney stones, but he's expected back this week at Memorial Park Golf Course where he tied for 15th last year.
Fox has withdrawn from THE PLAYERS Championship due to an illness, PGA TOUR Communications reports.
Fox had a solid start to the year going having finished top 25 in all four of his PGA Tour starts in 2026, so this is a tough break that he won't be able to go in the most lucrative tournament of the year. He will be replaced by David Ford who was the first alternate. Fox will hope to be back to the course soon.
Fox shot a three-under 69 on Sunday at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am to finish 14-under and tied for 24th.
Fox paced the field in putts per GIR during Sunday's final round at Pebble Beach, which guided him to seven birdies and a second consecutive T24 result dating to the WM Phoenix Open. He also ranked fifth among the AT&T Pro-Am field in SG: Off-the-Tee and 14th in ball speed for the week. Fox will peg it again this week at Riviera Country Club for his Genesis Invitational debut.
