Cantlay recorded an even-par 72 on Sunday at the BMW Championship to finish five-under and tied for 13th place.
Cantlay had a mostly uneventful final round with three birdies and three bogeys as he managed to avoid posting an over-par round on the week at the difficult venue. He ranked seventh for the tournament in SG: Around the green and gained shots in every strokes gained category. The 2021 FedExCup winner heads into the Tour Championship in 10th place.
Cantlay (undisclosed) is listed in the field for The Open Championship this week.
Cantlay withdrew prior to his most recent expected start at the John Deere Classic due to an undisclosed injury, but he'll tee it up this week at Royal Troon for the final major championship of the season. He closed out the month of June with back-to-back top-5s at the U.S. Open and the Travelers Championship, notably gaining a collective 10.1 strokes putting across these eight rounds.
