Scott posted a two-under 70 in the final round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational to finish tied with Jordan Spieth for 11th.
Scott entered the API having finished T25 or worse in four of his six prior outings at Bay Hill Club (including two missed cuts). He was much better this time around, ranking T9 in the field in birdies made, 11th in SG: Putting and 12th in SG: Approach, though he also finished 50th in driving accuracy. Scott has opened the 2026 Tour season with finishes of T40-T24-T30-4-T11 and sits 15th in the FedExCup Standings with 521 points. He'll be in THE PLAYERS Championship next week, where he's made the cut in 19 of 24 outings that includes his one-stroke victory over Padraig Harrington in 2004.
Scott is listed in the field for this week's Arnold Palmer Invitational.
Scott withdrew prior to last week's Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches after a fourth-place effort at The Genesis Invitational, but he qualified for this week's Arnold Palmer Invitational via the Aon Next 10. However, Scott has gone six consecutive Bay Hill Club appearances without a top-25 result dating back to 2018.
Scott carded a two-under 68 on Sunday at the Sony Open in Hawaii to finish five-under and tied for 40th.
Scott hit 10 of 14 fairways in regulation during Sunday's final round at Waialae Country Club, where he ultimately paced the field in driving accuracy for the week with an 82.14 FIR percentage, gaining 3.2 strokes off the tee in the process. However, Scott lost a collective 3.3 strokes on and around the greens in Hawaii en route to just 12 total par-breakers across 72 holes. The 45-year-old now heads to La Quinta for his American Express debut this week.
