McCarty fired a final round four-under 67 to claim the victory at the Black Desert Championship by three strokes.
McCarty entered Sunday's action with a two-shot lead, and he got off to a good start with an opening birdie and went bogey-free on the front-nine. Sitting with a one-shot lead with five holes to play, he hit his tee-shot on the driveable par-4 14th to three-feet and made the eagle putt to extend his lead to three. Ultimately, McCarty wasn't challenged down the stretch and coasted to his first PGA Tour win in just his second start after getting a three-win promotion from the Korn Ferry Tour. He ranked in the top-10 for the week in SG: Off-the-tee, around the green and putting; and was the only player in the field to make three eagles.
