Bhatia fell into a share of fifth place after a one-under 69 in the final round of the Travelers Championship.
Bhatia's final round started with a duff basically on his second shot out of a nasty lie on the first hole. He recovered and was tied for the lead on the back-nine, but couldn't keep pace coming to the finish playing the final eight holes in one-over-par. It would have certainly been a Signature win for Bhatia's young career, but the T5 still does move him up to 15th in the FedExCup standings. He is slated to tee it up at the Rocket Mortgage Classic next week.
Bhatia carded a four-over 76 on Sunday at the Memorial Tournament to finish tied for 22nd place.
Bhatia got off to a solid start to his week with rounds of 69-72 but came unglued over the weekend with 10 bogeys and a triple bogey to fall down the leaderboard. Most of his struggles were with his short game, and he had an excellent week driving the ball as he led the field in SG: Off-the-tee. It's a positive sign for Bhatia who had struggled the last four tournaments, and he now has eight top-25s over 17 starts this year.
Bhatia carded a one-under 69 on Sunday at the RBC Canadian Open to finish one-over and tied for 60th.
Bhatia broke par in three of four rounds at Hamilton Golf and Country Club, but a 74 on moving day ultimately kept him from competing for a top-25 finish in Canada. He finished the tournament ranked dead last among those who made the cut in SG: Around-the-Green, converting only 11 of 25 scrambling opportunities in the process. On a more positive note, Bhatia gained a collective 3.3 strokes with his ball striking, and he remains top-30 in the FedExCup standings ahead of the Memorial Tournament.
Bhatia shot a one-under 70 in Round 2 of the PGA Championship to miss the cut at the event.
Bhatia fired three birdies to just two bogeys, but was unable to make the cut after firing a Round 1 73. The missed cut was the first since March for Bhatia who entered the tournament with four top-20 finishes over his previous six events. Bhatia is in the field for next week's Charles Schwab Challenge.
