Im carded a two-under 69 on Sunday at The Open Championship to finish in a share of seventh place.
Im looked to be in danger of missing the weekend after an opening round 76, but he ultimately made the cut on the number and then made 10 birdies and an eagle over the final two rounds under difficult scoring conditions to climb into the top-10. He was led by his short game, ranking 14th in SG: Around the green and fifth in putting for the tournament. It's Im's sixth top-10 finish over his past nine starts.
Im recorded a one-under 69 on Sunday at the Genesis Scottish Open to finish 14-under and in a share of fourth place.
Im had a four-shot deficit to make up to start the day, but he had an uneven round with four birdies and three bogeys and never worked his way into contention. He was led by his short game this week, gaining 6.3 strokes around the green and putting combined. Im has a pair of top-5s over his last three starts and is now up to 10th in the FedExCup Standings.
Im finished in a tie for 12th place after shooting a seven-under 64 in the final round of the John Deere Classic.
Im's week stalled in the third round, shooting a 70 in a field littered with low scores throughout the week. He surged back up the leaderboard with an excellent result on Sunday. With five Top 10 finishes this season, Im is ranked 15th in the FedEx Cup rankings and will be in the field for the upcoming Scottish Open.
Im closed with a four-under 66 to finish in a share of third place at the Travelers Championship.
Im got off to a slow start on Sunday sitting at just even-par through 12 holes, but made birdies on four of the final six holes to move up to a T3 finish. Im ranked fifth in SG: Approach and seventh in SG: Around-the-Green this week. Im has missed the cut in all three majors this season, but in his last seven non-major starts he has finished T12-or-better. He will move up to 14th in the FedExCup standings. Im is not listed in the field for the Rocket Mortgage Classic next week.
