Whitney shot a six-under 65 in the final round to move up to a tie for 11th place at the Black Desert Championship.
Whitney's strong final round helped him post his best finish of the year. In fact his only other finish better than a T33 this year was a T13 at the Farmers Insurance Open in January. This was certainly much needed for Whitney who is starting to show some potential with his iron game, gaining strokes on approach in five straight. He will be in the field for the Shriners Children's Open.
