Mitchell missed the cut by one shot at this past week's Rocket Mortgage Classic after playing two rounds in three-under-par.
Mitchell's approach play certainly wasn't the issue at Detroit Golf Club where he hit 31 of 36 greens in regulation, but he lost 3.6 strokes with the putter throughout two rounds on the way to his first missed cut since the PGA Championship. He'll look to rebound this week at the John Deere Classic where he's placed T42-MC-T7 in three career appearances, notably losing strokes on the greens at TPC Deere Run in all three instances.
