Schauffele recorded a five-over 75 on Sunday at the Travelers Championship to finish tied for 61st place.
Schauffele struggled to get much going all week long in Connecticut, and things came off the rails in the final round as he carded just one birdie to go along with four bogeys and a double bogey. He bested just five golfers for the week and lost shots in every strokes gained category. It was a disappointing showing for Schauffele, who hadn't finished worse than T28 in any of his previous seven events.
Schauffele posted a one-under 69 on Sunday at the U.S. Open to finish six-over and tied for 12th place.
Schauffele only made the cut by two strokes but had a solid weekend with rounds of 71-69 to nearly climb into the top-10. He didn't stand out statistically in any area but was top-30 in every strokes gained category and ranked T11 in GIR. Schauffele has struggled to get into contention this year but does have four top-15s across his last seven starts.
