Schauffele posted a three-under 69 during the final round of THE PLAYERS Championship to finish solo third with an 11-under cumulative score.
Schauffele was in early contention for his first victory at TPC Sawgrass after a seven-under 65 second round. Those hopes were dashed after a two-over 74 score Saturday, but he ended his final round strongly by carding birdies on three of the last four holes to crack the top-3. Schauffele's success this week came from his iron play, as he led the field in SG: Approach (7.48) while also ranking T5 in GIR, T10 in birdies made and 20th in SG: Putting. It was his third top-5 finish at THE PLAYERS in nine outings, and Schauffele has finished in the top-25 in each of his last four Tour events, including a T7 at The Genesis Invitational. He is listed in the field for next week's Valspar Championship, where he's made the cut in each of his three outings, including T5 in 2024 and T12 last year.
Schauffele closed with a two-under 70 on Sunday at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am to finish 15-under and tied for 19th.
Schauffele ranked third among the field in SG: Off-the-Tee and fourth in putting percentage from 10-plus feet en route to 22 total birdies throughout his week at Pebble Beach, though he hit just 49 of 72 greens in regulation while losing 1.1 strokes on approach. The T19 result is Schauffele's best finish through his first three starts of the 2026 season, and he'll tee it up again this week at Riviera Country Club where he tied for fourth in 2024.
